I AM BACK!!!

09JAN08:

Breakfast at 5am at T1

Hotel Lobby - Baiyoke Boutique
MBK Food court

Cabbages & Condoms Restaurant

Xmas deco with condoms as the ornament, of coz...

these were given at the end of the meal

He's made up of condoms and contraceptive pills

at KHAO SAN
along the busy streets of khao san, beside food stalls, there were many stalls selling alcohol as well with just plastic chairs around for ppl to hang around for drinks.

back at hotel cafe.. i am counting the total (horrifying) amount spent for just the first day in bkk
10JAN08:

backstreet lanes of our hotel

SIAM PARAGON/SIAM DISCOVERY CENTRAL
The Loft: this shop has the most pretty things like home deco to stationery to toys to ornaments to soft toys...etc. we cant help but to shop in here and end up spending quite a bits on stuff like stationery, t-shirts...
Mega Lollipop (nope i didnt buy this; reason 1: this weighs a ton; reason 2: i am not a huge fan of lollipop actually)
another shop which i went window shop. didnt get any stuff though as the things were super expensive

Fuji Restaurant

there were many huge (expensive looking) restaurants at Siam Paragon and of coz, pricey. But Fuji is in fact reasonably priced. our total bill comes up to be only $20.

Traffic is one thing that really irks me in bkk, besides the horrible weather. though travelling in Jan is supposed to be the least hot period with no rain. ok, there was no rain alright but still is super hot.
back to traffic, any time of the day, the traffic is forever heavy and those stupid tuk tuk or taxi drivers (ya, they too played smart and refused to on the meters now) always uses that as an excuse to charge more.

PLATINUM FASHIONMALL
this place sells at wholesale prices. that is if u purchase 3 or more item. but they can be of different items so of coz me and rin's very happy to come back here twice during this trip.
Banana & Choco Crepes for 25baht (abt $1)

SUAN LUM NIGHT BAZAAR

This place was a HUGE dissapointment. when we visit in 2007, we were so happy shopping there for 6 hrs straight at night that we returned on the very next day to buy more stuff. this time round, we planned to go there on 2nd and 3rd night but ended up, we only went on the 2nd day and that's it.
they can just close it down for all they want and go develop hotels, shopping malls and the likes... coz is no longer interesting (which translate to nothing much for me to buy anymore)

omelette with rice for only less than $2
boring.. many shops were already closed and remaining ones were like selling rubbish things like furniture stuff, home accessories, aunties clothings...
back to hotel: the room service are delicious

11JAN08:

pretty wall papers in hotel
and lifts
BAIYOKE SKY:
We headed here for our lunchie as a guest in Baiyoke Boutique, we are entitled to use their pool, fitness facilities and even enjoy their restaurant food at great discount. not to mention the free shuttle service to MBK
the hotel's international buffet at 70+ storey high which we only paid about $16 after 50% discount

Outdoor Revolving Observation Deck
it's bloody hot out there.. but the view was spectacular

back here again for shopping spree

i am buying crepes again

MBK

Mont

they have many varieties of toast bread which are very cheap and yummy

12JAN08:

CHATUCHAT WEEKEND MARKET

I am actually squating at the subway while waiting for train coz i am just too tired after bracing the tremandous heat and walking non stop for 2 hours (we still did not break last yr's record of staying there for 2 hrs... and of coz, we did not cover the entire area as well)
Home Sweet Home

Some Snapshots of the Hotel:

Our Room: 3 nights stay for only $175 (Samran Place is still cheaper actually)
Hotel Cafe

Ladies
Gents

Our Shopping Loots:

the empty luggages that we brought there were filled to the brim

MINE
i took like one picture for a consolidation of stuff that i bought for each day. so here's the 4:

i didnt buy so many tees. 2 were Jeanie's as i was asked to grabbed for her if it's cheaper. of coz it has to be =)
and i bought like a total of 7 dresses (including the satin ones) each costing me an average $10 only =) =)
Baby also benefit from my trip. i got him like 7 tops too =) =) =)
though Rin was starting to ask me each time i buy one, "doesnt he already have this?" " does he only wear adidas?" Ha~
Baby says he dont have to buy clothes already for like one whole year. how is that possible? i mean, 7 new tops definitely not alot to my definition. based on his definition, i am banned from shopping for few years?!?!?!

RIN'S

Who bought more? You be the judge.

eND nOTE:
Blogging this entry is tiring man, with the uploading of photos etc and time consuming as well. Well, the trip itself is tiring enough. my legs literally broke every day. The only enjoyable part is the stuff that we bought and of coz, for me, not having to go work for like 4 days. Ha~ but back to reality in 12 hrs time. (i have already gone thru the 100+ emails to my office *dreading tomorrow*)
i "cant wait" to get my credit card bill... really.
